Biography

Waseem (BPharm, MPhil, PhD, ARPharmS, MAPS, FHEA) did his undergraduate studies at the school of pharmacy – Damascus University (2003-2007) where he was awarded five Academic-Excellence awards (2003-2004-2005-2006-2007). He graduated on 2007 with the honour of top graduate student (first-class degree). He has been a qualified pharmacist since 2007. Waseem has worked as a pharmacy manager from 2007 till 2008. Then, he worked as a teaching assistant in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology department at the School of Pharmacy, University of Damascus, Syria from 2008 till 2009. He completed his PhD studies on pharmaceutics-drug delivery in 2013 at the Medway School of Pharmacy–University of Kent (UK). He held a research associate post in University in Kent, UK (2013). In 2014, he was appointed as a lecturer in pharmaceutics at University of Wolverhampton, UK. His current research aims to improve the physicochemical, physicomechanical and biopharmaceutical performance of pharmaceuticals via particle engineering.
