Abstract

Phosphorylated α-synuclein (p-α-syn) can be detected in dermal nerve fibers of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple system atrophy (MSA). Here we investigated whether p-α-syn in the cutaneous nerve fibers represents misfolded aggregated protein.
